House Telvanni

Doctrine
The strong shall rule. Advancement is earned through sorcery and cunning, never through petition or politics.

House Telvanni is a reclusive faction of sorcerer-nobles who govern from the tops of enormous living mushroom towers grown from magical spores. They have little interest in the outside world and less in political alliance. Each master operates as a sovereign unto themselves, connected to the House by tradition and mutual contempt for other factions rather than any genuine unity.

House Hlaalu

Doctrine
Wealth and influence are the only real power. Bribery, trade, and Imperial cooperation sustain House Hlaalu's dominance.

Hlaalu is the most Imperially aligned of the Great Houses, having cultivated close ties with the Empire since their arrival in Morrowind. They dominate the western half of Vvardenfell, operating from Balmora and the great canton of Vivec. Their power is mercantile and political, built on a network of bribes, informants, and trade agreements with mainland merchants.

House Redoran

Doctrine
Duty, honor, and valor above all. The warrior caste of Morrowind, born defenders of Dunmer tradition and the Ghostfence.

House Redoran governs from Ald'ruhn, a city built beneath the shell of a dead Emperor Crab on the edge of the Ashlands. Their nobles are warrior-aristocrats who maintain the Ghostfence patrols and consider their proximity to Red Mountain not a curse but a sacred duty. Redoran honor is the kind that bleeds quietly rather than complains.

House Indoril

Doctrine
The Tribunal are living gods and must be obeyed in all things. Indoril is the Temple's secular arm, its wealth, and its sword.

Once the most powerful of all Great Houses, Indoril's influence has declined since the Empire's arrival made direct theocratic governance untenable. They remain wealthy and culturally dominant through their inseparable connection to the Tribunal Temple, their vast network of clergy, and the feared Ordinators—their golden-masked warrior-monks who enforce Temple law with exceptional violence.

School of Destruction
The most direct application of the magical arts. Drain, damage, and disintegrate. The Telvanni treat Destruction as a mother tongue.

Recent Journal Entries

3E 427, 14th Last Seed. Arrived Seyda Neen by Imperial prison barge. A Customs officer named Socucius handed me a written order from Emperor Uriel Septim VII himself. Go to Balmora. Report to Caius Cosades. I am apparently important to someone powerful.

3E 427, 21st Last Seed. Joined House Telvanni. The woman who accepted me was a ten-thousand-year-old mushroom that vaguely resembles a person. She told me to prove myself worthy by not dying. This is Telvanni mentorship.
